A few close friends embarked on a journey of turning their passion for wine into something extraordinary. Established in 2011, what began as a modest experiment in winemaking quickly blossomed into something far greater than they ever anticipated. Beakr Winery has consistently won blind wine tasting contests year after year and continues to delight the senses.
What started as a humble project fueled by curiosity has grown into a true labor of love. Each bottle tells a story of dedication, meticulous craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality, capturing the essence of the vineyards and the spirit of its founders. The wines are custom crushed by The Wine Foundry, beginning with the careful selection of the best fruit from renowned vineyards such as Trailside, Ink Grade, George III, Stagecoach; sourced from different regions based on microclimates, farming techniques and phenolic ripening. The fruit is handpicked at night, de-stemmed and sorted through an optical sorter. Fermentation takes place stainless steel, double-jacketed tanks, heated and cooled with Glycol to maintain proper fermentation temperatures and the must gently pressed to achieve extraordinary results.
Blending involves using small amounts of Bordeaux varietals —Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc —primarily sourced from Stagecoach vineyards to create balance, a long finish and mouthfeel. Our Cabernets are then aged in 60% to 80% new French oak barrels for two years, bottled and stored for an additional six months before release.
