Beakr Winery
A few close friends embarked on a journey of turning their passion for wine into something extraordinary. Established in 2011, what began as a modest experiment in winemaking quickly blossomed into something far greater than they ever anticipated. Beakr Winery has consistently won blind wine tasting contests year after year and continues to delight our senses.
What began as a humble project fueled by curiosity has grown into a labor of love. Each bottle of Beakr Wine tells a story of dedication, meticulous craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality, capturing the essence of the vineyards and the spirit of its founders. The wines are custom crushed by The Wine Foundry and starts with selecting the best available lots of fruit each year from amazing vineyards. The Wine Foundry has contracts with dozens of vineyards such as Trailside, Ink Grade, George III, Stagecoach and others. Each year, we source the fruit from the best available sources by visiting the vineyards and or during the crush. The fruit is all handpicked at night, de-stemmed and sorted through an optical sorter. Fermentation is in Stainless Steel tanks, double jacketed, heated and cooled with Glycol to maintain proper fermentation temperatures and lightly pressing the must to achieve extraordinary results. The blending tradition involves using small amounts of Bordeaux varietals such as Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, mostly sourced from Stagecoach to create a good palate balance, long finish and mouthfeel. Our Cabernets are aged in 60% to 80% new French oak barrels for two years, then bottled and stored for an additional six months before release.
